Trigger Time

It's 3 PM. Do you know where your willpower went? Have you seen mine? Because about midafternoon, it takes a hike. And about 10 PM, it takes off and never comes back.

I'm not a doctor or nutitionist, but I'm fairly certain it has something to do with blood sugar levels.
What time are you most vulnerable to snacking? What's your solution?

  1. Mid-morning, mid-afternoon and around 8 p.m. My solution has been to eat smaller meals, and to build snacks into my daily eating. I have raw almonds at work and take fruit or veggies, too. I need to chew and crunch. Sometimes I indulge in a 100 calorie bag of popcorn, but not too often because there's little nutrional value in them. It's not perfect, and I confess sometimes chocolate wins. Oh, and my biggest treat daily is the Diet Dr. Pepper I allow myself as I drive home from work M-F. By that time of the day I've consumed about 56 oz. or more of water. I know DDP isn't good for me, but I love 'em and have chosen to build one into my day.
